Action Plan for the Conservation of Migratory Anatidae in the East Asian Flyway Acknowledgement[ in Japanese ] [ Back ] |
The activities of the Site Network and other conservation efforts under the Action Plan for the Conservation of Migratory Anatidae in the East Asian Flyway has been supported a large number of governmental organisations, non-governmental organisations and individuals. They are acknowledged.
The governments of Japan (current Ministry of the Environment) and Australia (current Department of the Environment and Heritage) hosted a series of workshops for the conservation of migratory waterbirds in the Asia-Australasian Flyway in 1994 and 1995 and both of the governments has supported the conservation efforts under the Asia-Pacific Waterbird Conservation Strategy: 1996-2000 (Wetlands International 1996). The Ministry of the Environment Japan has strongly supported the Anatidae Site Network since its preparation. Other national governments in the flyway has participated in the efforts of Action Plan and supported and assisted in various occasion as well as non-governmental organisations, including providing membership to the Working Group and Task Forces. Please refer to the part of Acknowledgements in the Anatidae Atlas in the East Asian Flyway as well.
